Hello. Thanks to everyone who contributed their ideas to the EOI I posted earlier this year. I've taken first steps to getting this little project off the ground. For those who didn't read the other thread, here is the overview: as I don't drink much currently but enjoy the process of all grain brewing, I'm putting up cubes of wort for sale. Its no cash cow - I have priced them to basically cover costs (which includes the occasional cube I keep for myself) and to keep me in a hobby... while I'm single anyway.
I'll be making eight core beer styles on a regular basis, plus some seasonal varieties* and will post updates on stock levels from time to time:
20L Drums (these generally hold up to 22-23L total) basic brews $25ea:
1. Light lager** OG 1035, 18 IBU, 3 SRM***
2. Sparkling ale OG 1040, 27 IBU, 5 SRM
3. Aussie Pils OG 1045, 25 IBU, 4 SRM
4. Vienna lager OG 1050, 30 IBU, 9 SRM
15L Drums (generally hold 16-17L) speciality brews $35ea:
5. Irish stout OG 1040, 35 IBU, 32 SRM
6. English ESB OG 1055, 35 IBU, 13 SRM
7. Pale ale OG 1055, 40 IBU, 7 SRM
8. US Porter OG 1065, 45 IBU, 35 SRM
* Seasonal brews include: amber ales, IPAs, belgians and alternate grain worts TBA.
** Actual style will be dependant on fermentation practices.
*** All specs are averages and should be observed/measured before fermentation,
My recipes are made from the freshest AUSTRALIAN ingredients money can buy. So far they have received great reviews when compared with LHBS varieties. Returning of empty cubes is highly encouraged.
Location is Bomaderry NSW, right near the princes highway. Would prefer buyers to pick up but can do drop offs if its on my way somewhere. I travel to surrounding suburbs occasionally, so anyone Sydney, Canberra, etc, should also express their interest. Please share your thoughts below.
Many thanks
Garf
