Just a quick question.

If you have you brew fridge set to say 18 deg, what temp does the freezer section normally sit out?

Back when I had a multi-zone fridge as my brewing fridge, it would depend on the ambient temperature. In summer when the fridge was running for longer keeping the wort cool, the freezer section would be cold enough to store ice.

In cooler weather when the fridge compressor wasn't getting much use, the freezer compartment would be as warm as the fridge part.

Thanks phoneyhuh.

I was hoping the freezer stayed relatively constant, so I could store bottled beer in there at a good storage temp.

Sounds like either a dedicated fridge or freezer is the go.

I duct tape my temp probe onto the side of the fermenter under a lump of foam rubber. If I set the controller at 10 deg C the wort will be 12 deg C.
