I can tell the difference for sure.
A while back, I was finding my bottled APA was better than the same APA kegged.
Maybe it's just the fact that the bottled beer has a lot more mellowing time like 8 weeks + as opposed to the forced carbed beer which I am drinking from week 2.
The kegged beer I guess never quite gets the time to mellow out like the bottled beer.
I too found the bottled beer had a bit better hoppiness compared to the kegged beer. I sold my kegging gear & bottled for a while but keg again now.
Kegging is simply for convenience & I always make sure my batch size is ample for a keg & a few left over for some bottles.
