gday jaz
looking over a few recipes i have i reckon you should include goldings hops.both recipes have this.best of luck on the first ag

cheers
big d

I'm with big d on this, but purely because I prefer goldings hops to fuggles. I've done all-fuggles flavour/aroma brews before, and found them to taste too earthy.

Just me though :) Goldings has a lovely clean hop taste to it.

Just want to add my 2 cents worth.

Jazman, I love Fuggles so go for it although some Goldings wouldn't go astray.
I like your idea of dryhopping with Fuggles, the same is done in JS IPA.

For the yeast I don't think Scottish Ale is suited to ESB's or bitters in general. The Scottish yeast accentuates maltiness and is suited to lower bittered beers. I would try Wyeast 1028, 1335 or the Nottingham Dry yeast. You would be suprised at how many micros in the UK use Nottingham yeast.
Anyway, it is your beer so go for it and let us know how this goes.

Cheers and bollocks

Jazman,
I'd go with goldings for the dry hop, the recipe looks good.
Also white labs dry english ale yeast is a fantastic liquid yeast for ales it really ferments well and drops crystal clear at the end.
regards
Andrew

with the yeast i already have some i scored from some were and im sperimenting also i have used golding before and i thought those to hops fuggles and golding were a similar hop
