Brewing with heather (fraoch) has been a topic of interest for quite a few brewers, but finding suppliers has been hard. even the ebay sellers seem to have disappeared.
online sponsors dont sell heather, so there shouldnt be any issues.

However after spending the weekend making enquiries all over the world Ive found a supplier in Australia thats willing to see to me in bulk for cheap, as opposed to $4.80 per 50g (which is a lot of $ when most recipes call for 100g or 2-3 cups or more).

So, as it stands, they are willing to sell me 8kg for $212.70. thats $1.32 per 50g. If there's enough interest im happy to arrange for another quote for a larger order

now im happy to mail to people at your expense or bring to a melbourne brewers meeting for fellow MB brethren
first in best dressed. Im not wanting to screw around with small orders, so 200g lots please.

postage to brisvegas will be f*ck all. your 600g is under 1kg so a standard aust post satchel will cover it, which is like $7.80. hell it may even fit in an A3 envelope (not padded) in which case its even cheaper.

Like dried herbs as far as im aware. Airtght should see it through. Id break it up into smaller amounts (like 100g lots or something), then vac seal.

I have paid for the order. and am awaiting confirmation on how long for delivery.

now as for postage cost i guess we will have to wait and see. obviously if you've ordered a bit it might be bulky (ie volume size), but relatively light. I'll wait to see how big 200g of heather is and from that I can work out the best mail cost for you (ie either satchels or flat rate parcel.

I'll buy some ziplock bags to put the heather in. Tell me if you want it broken up into 200g bags or just 1 big bag (and then you can break it up into quantities you want)
