I've got a fowlers preserving kit. it's plastic and you can smell it so never went further with it.

but that one looks like enamel. could be good. and a thermostat too!

I know this has been bought up before but I'm surprised it hasn't been pursued more? I can see this as the El-cheapo Aldi braumister. I'll be queuing up that's for sure.

the consistent complaints seem to be - the taps are $£%t and they very often dont make it to boil.
 
Sub 2000 watts, would give a pretty poor boil. Lidl and Aldi are fierce competitors and get their products custom made (think of Medion, Tevion etc) but I can't see Aldi getting their hands on this model for themselves.
I hope lidl don't open up here, apparently they treat their staff like shite, as opposed to Aldi who are very progressive with staff conditions.
