i am setting my brewery up electric and am looking at electric controls

i think i want simmerstats for the boiler (at least on one of the elements) and a thermostat for the hot water tank. i got an excellent local supplier but anyone have any other ideas.

My opinion here only ;)

I like the idea of eletric HLT , that's what I made , I can set it on a timer and wake up with the water at mash temperture

Boilers? I prefer gas , you get a really good rolling boil , without hot spots around an element

GMK, is the rheostat the dial that turns on and sets your oven temp? I assumed this was a sort of thermostat and that the dials controlling your hot plates (simmerstats) would be a better option. I'm not speaking from any experience, I have no idea about how these controls work, but am toying with the idea of going electric in the kettle.

Lou, I'm not saying to go one way or the other but juts make sure the switch is rated to the load you want to put on in. From an over it should be fine.

Cheers, Justin
