Hi guys,
Could you advise if there is a risk of infecting the wort when dry hopping with fresh wet hops?
A mate is keen to use his newly picked Red Earth hops as a smash brew.
Thanks,
Bruce.

Done that! After watching wacky brewers in the US do it. A large hop sock filled with fresh picked on the day hops basically looked like they take up ~40% of the keg volume space then transferred in the beer. I will say though that I prefer dried. Wet hops have a much higher dose of Chlorophyll that's not really nice IMO.
So it was 200g+ wet. Or dry equivalent =25% weight = ~50g. In a weighted sock in a corny keg.
