Hi people. Im brewing a Dortmunder on the weekend and i was wondering if anyone had any advice as to the water treatment required for this beer. BJCP and other forums decribe the beer as 'minerally" Does anyone have experience in brewing this style and any suggestions re water treatment. PS im in Melbourne.
Thanks

I am in Sydney with soft water. To a 22L in the fermenter batch I add to the mash 2 g CaSO4 and 2 g CaCl2. To my taste it gives a low mineral crispness.
I find too much CaSO4 adds a harshness I don't like but others will have different ideas.
