Hi,

I’ve noticed that when I’ve batched primed my bottles that the smaller bottles seem to carbonate faster than the larger bottles. Can anyone confirm this is true?

Therefore I’m wondering if volume or dimension of a vessel would also influence conditioning time.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

A 5L brew will ferment quicker than a 30L brew, and a smaller bottle will carbonate quicker than a larger bottle, smaller volume quicker ferment.

That used to happen to me where some bottles were more carbonated. This is solved with a gentle swirl when you rack into the bottling bucket to get an even mix.
