G'day this is my 2nd brew. First one was a basic coopers lager which went ok and now I have done a ale and used a heat pad. The beer has 2 different colours and has been in FV for 12 days, is this all good?
Cheers

Use your hydrometer. If the SG is stable over a couple of days you should be fine to go ahead and bottle it. Also, when you draw your sample from the fermenter, chuck out the first bit and then draw out some more. The first one may have trub and other stuff that settled in the tap area and will give you an incorrect reading.

If you're not sure about the colours, post up a photo so we can see what you mean.

Level is stable now, its cold in the garage but have the heat pad so maybe thats why its like that?
