Just put down a Czech Pilsner
1 can mangrove jacks Czech Pilsner
1kg LDME
25 grams Saaz steeped in boiled water for 15 minutes
w-34/70 European lager yeast
Going to ferment at 13-15 degrees should be a nice beer.

if you can ferment at 10 to 12 IMHO that would be a better temp for 34/70.

Ooooo. Best keep it warmer then, you've under pitched as far as lagers go. You'll want 2 packs for 23l of mid gravity lager. In fact if you can, grab another pack and pitch it ASAP.

20 litre batch but seems I didn't read the instructions correctly. I have now pitched the second yeast packet. My question is at 12-13 degrees will this work or am I destined for failure

It'll be fine, get the temp down. When its almost fermented 1.018 ish. Raise the temp to 16 ish to complete fermentation and help clean up any D that may be present.

Poured my first glass of this on Sunday turned out nice. Darker in colour than I expected. Also has some hints of banana both in flavour and aroma. Fermented at 12 degrees for 10 days then bumped up to 16 degrees for 4 days. Finished at 1009. Will be interesting to see how this matures in the keg. If it lasts long enough
