Having a chat 2 jovial monk in his retail outlet the other day about c w.

Has anyone else used/tried it and if so what flava/characteristics did it impart, and what quantity did u use?

Just bumping this thread as I have got some Crystal wheat I want to use.

Can I expect to get similar results as normal crystal but also some of the characteristics that you get with wheat malt.

Who has used this grain? what quantities did you use and what did you think of it

Kabooby :)

Kabooby

It's similar to regular crystal malt but with a bit of a difference. Seems sweeter or more barley sugar like than standard crystal.
I've used it at around 4% in an APA and Oz Sparkling Ale. Makes a nice difference. :)

Here is the recipe for a dark bock I am working on. Do you think do away with the regular crystal and use all crystal wheat or keep it as is.

I have split the crystal as I only have 200g of regular crystal
