So,

poured a beer from my second, less used tap this evening and into the bottom of my glass falls what appears to be a very small cricket or cockroach.

FML, had to tip out half a beer.

Anyone else have issues with creepy crawlies getting into their taps?

I have Perlick flow controlled taps so there is not far they can infiltrate.

How do I keep the feckers out?

Cheers,

Thanks gents, I knew i wouldn't be the first to have had this problem.

I always squirt a bit of starsan up my taps and leave them uncovered.
It seems to keep everything away including vinegar flies / fruit flies.

I've had wasps(I think) stuffing leaves into mine to crate these cigar shaped cocoon things for their eggs. Little bastards. Sorted it out with some black caps.

have also just seen a couple of old corks with holes drilled in them and then stuffed over the tap

OP:

Can I ask where your taps are located?

Surely on a porch or outside yeah?

edit: to refer OP.
Taps are located on the kegerator in the man cave.

Inside, but door is left open for dogs to run in and out.
