I put down a country brewer wheat beer wetpak brew on saturday night. Does anyone know what yeast is supplied with this brew, I was told its S-33, would like someone to confirm this. All I know is its a bloody quick fermenting yeast I made a mini starter and it took off in around 4-5 hours checked gravity this morning and its allready down to 1014 from OG 1042 on saturday night .

Thanks for any info.

I saw Armstrong on here earlier. PM him and he'll be able to tell you. He is the Country Brewer.

I PM you SAB, but for anyone else that is interested ... yes, we use S-33 yeast on the Summer Wheat Wetpak.

The Fermentis site describes this yeast as follows:-

S-33

A robust ale yeast able to tolerate high alcohol conditions (up to 11.5% v/v). Used to produce a wide range of beer styles including Belgian wheat and Trappist beers.

Cheers
