I'm in the process of culturing yeast from Cooper's sparkling and cooper's Pale ale.

Does anyone here know if they use the same yeast for conditioning as they do for the primary ferment? I've heard differnt opinions from different people so I thought I'd ask some of the gurus here.

Cheers

Timmy.

This question was asked on the Coopers Club website , answer from Coopers was , Yes it's the same yeast

Thanks Batz!

One more, is there a difference between pale and sparkling ale yeast?

I've used it a couple of times as well. No probs at all.

cheers

There's no difference between the pale and the sparkling yeast, timmy. It's the same strain.

Thanks blokes! It's the easiest way for me to get a half decent yeast here in the sticks.

You could always mail order some from Grumpy's, Goliaths etc
