I got one of these kits for Fathers Day.

I've been brewing on and off for nearly 10 years. I progressed from K&K to all grain with all point in between

The kit comes with an 850g tin of "American Light" to be made to 8.5L.

I got given the kit because with 3 kids I've been struggling to find the time to brew and the idea was that smaller batches would take less time. (at both the brew and bottling stage).

I used only the tin but since I had a packet of 34/70 in the fridge I chucked that in.

The final product was surprisingly good. No kit twang. No diacetyl (took about 2 weeks to clear up). Something of a head on it.

In short, I was pretty impressed.

Additional kits are $16 a tin so I haven't bought another tin to try. I've found the small amounts work well. I've been doing some malt with grain+hops and can bottle one batch and set up another in about an hour.

I'm tempted to try another tin just to see if they are worth it but can't quite bring myself to spend the same amount of money on half a tin of goo.

Anyhow...just thought I'd share

Cheers

Where was the kit purchased, or did someone bring it back from the USA?

Definitely Target

They have a few different cans of goo now as well...
