Coopers Dark Ale Kit

Hi all,

I have one of these sitting in my garage and thought I would put it to use. I have had a bit of a search around what I can do with this kit, but couldn't actually find too much.

Anyone have a recipe floating around using this kit??

1 can of goop
1Kg of LDME
200g light crystal and 200g chocolate malt steeped in hot water.
15g of east kent goldings boiled for 10 minutes (in the water from the grains)

Do a quick boil of the LDME and goop in a few litres of water (just to dissolve everything). Strain the liquor from the hops and grain into the boiled extracts. Chuck it all into the fermenter and top up to 21 litres and ferment with nottingham yeast at 18 degrees.

It was one of SWMBO's favorites when I was into kits, goes well with EKG. And Fuggles, give it a dose of dry hop as well, worked well with Windsor as I recall.

1 tin Morgans Extra Pale LME
1kg LDME
500g Dex

10g Galena 45min
10g Cascade 10min
10g Simcoe 10min

10g Galaxy F/O
10g Cascade F/O
10g Simcoe F/O

15g US05 pitched at 24deg. Fermented at 18deg.

20g Galaxy Day 5
20g Simcoe day 5

IBU 64.4
ABV (bottled) 8.2%

20g Centennial Hops
20g Simcoe Hops 10 Minute Boil

25g Centennial Hops
25g Simcoe Hops 0 Min Boil (Flame Out)

Dry Hop @ Day 7 for 7 days:
10g Centennial
10g Simcoe
10g Tomahawk
