Has anyone put down the COOPERS HERITAGE LAGER kit down? I want to do a Lager soon and the Sparkling Ale was great. Also what additions could i add to rev it up a bit? grains & hops.

I did a couple heritage lagers a year or so ago, but screwed up the temp (ended up over 25C on one of them) so ended up with one passable but unmemorable brew and another that carried a lovely flavour of raisins to it. Blech.

It's a bit darker than your average lager kit.

:chug:

Made one about six months ago. I try a bottle every few weeks to see what's happening, but I have never been excited by it.
It's very dark for a lager and the taste is pretty ordinary.
I think there are better ones out there.

the kit ok i reckon a bit bland i did dry hop mine with halletua plugs i use to a bit overkill in the secondary and used the 2206 yeast

Some lagers can be brown to very dark. Alt, schwartzbeer, dunkel, oktobrfest just to name a few. Megaswill lager is always very light in colour.
