I'm pretty certain i left my filter soaking in nappysan a bit too long... it was in the housing in nappysan, I went away for a month and all the liquid has evaporated!

every time i rinse it by hand i can still 'smell' the nappysan on it...

does this sound like a feasible flushing cleaning method? I usually gravity filter from fermenter into keg, but i'm willing to waste some gas to push rinses through it...

1. 9L corny full of hot water as a backflush
2.. 9L corny full of hot water forwards
3. 4 ish litres starsan backflush
4. 4 ish litres starsan forwards

Been there, done that very recently.
I pretty much did what you have described but back flushed with hot water then forward flushed a few times with cold water. Cold water appears to be a beteer rinse 'agent' than hot when it comes to napisan.
