Hi There,

I have a pilsner that is ready for ccing and I am wondering how to get the plastic-ty smell out of the jerry can.

I picked up an 'Army Tough 22 litre Plastic jerry can' from Big W. The jerry can is army green in colour and is made from high density polyethylene, and the label states that it's for water usage.

Any ideas on how to get the smells out, as I hope to use the jerry can on Thursday?

Cheers,
Jase

I just filled mine with water and bicarb of soda for a week and that seemed to get most of the smell out. Could try changeing the water a few times to help it out.

I found water and bleach did the same. Soak for a week, rinse well, then a shot of boiling water and sanitiser.
