I was thinking of having a test run on my mash tun and adding citric acid in the HLT to clean any flux etc. from the copper manifold I have made in the esky MT. I be thinking this will be a good way to check for leaks, test temperatures and equipment etc.; while getting a feel for what I will be doing when I give it a run with the grain.
Can anyone see a problem with using citric acid or recommend what is best for initial cleaning?
Cheers :)

Vinegar worked wonders on my copper stuff when i was just starting out, now that I have StarSan there's no reason to use anything else cost per litre is low and it works a treat. When using vinegar I was using it at 50/50 with water and getting it to a hottish temp.
