just wondering has anyone cleaned the font on a keg king? if so how did you go about it?

i seem to recall reading a topic on this but cant locate it?

cheers!

Time.

i pulled the tap off mine and stripped it down (flow control)
cleaned all the bits by soaking in some cleaning fluid
soaked in a bit of star san
lubed the parts i thought needed lubing and re-assembled

i also pumped heaps of hot water / star-san / from a keg through the piping / tap prior to stripping
the beer line on mine was "clean" but that cleaned it out pretty good

now every other keg i re-do the above and or just the tap if i feel it needs a clean

thanks maheel, will get onto this over the weekend.

Give your taps a service, check all seals, replace if neccessary with a tap kit (but if if you look after them they should last for years...) and lube up all the moving parts.

Fill a keg with a PBW or sodium percarb and fill the lines and let it sit overnight.

I couldnt believe the crap that came out when I did this last week, and they honestly looked clean before I did it.

Well worth doing, especially if you havent done it for a while.
