I had a cube from a fresh wort I bought a year ago in the garage.

I went to clean it and added in some what I thought was unscented napisan....turns out it was eucalyptus.

How best to remove the smell?

Plan was just to use the cube for chilled water after a 5 litre boil.

Been there done that.....did much swearing

After all the rinsing, soaking etc...the only way I got rid of the scent was to ferment in it. Strange but true

White vinegar, diluted 30/70 with water.
How much would you add to a 15litre cube and for how long?

300ml vinegar, 700ml water. Shake it intermittently over a few hours and then leave to sit overnight. Rinse with clean water and jobs right.

Thanks for the info. I gave it a few good shakes last night and drained the container this morning to allow it to air.

Hopefully will be all good for the weekends brewing.

And what about the container? [emoji12][emoji1]
Rereading my post now, and that is some pure gold for trolling lol

Make sure you turf the rubber o-ring in the lid, you will NOT get the scent out of that.
