Hi
Made an immersion chiller this morning from some copper pipe. Looks pretty crude but works a treat. I did a test with just water and it reduced the temp to 35 deg in about 10 min. I was impressed.
My question is whether there would be any undesirable effects from chilling the wort twice or more. ie after steeping grains to strain into my boiling pot from my urn and then after the boil? I can't see reason why there would but thought i would check first. Can't wait to use it on a real batch.
