Cheap Brewing Pumps In Perth

I've been aquiring bits and pieces for an AG rig for a while now and am now thinking of getting a pump after some inspirational posts here.

What is the best value pump for me to start with and where could I get it from?
I have seen that an aquarium pump can be used if its pumping height is ok, is this correct and are there any specfic models that are suited.

The other option is the obvious (to the brewers on here) March pump, that seem quite expensive to a poor impoversished studsent such as myself.

What is the best price on these? I have seen posts in the past from special K that indicate a sharp price, is this deal still on and is it the best option?

I had the same thoughts 4 months ago djackal. I purchached a Sicce Idra pump from Hiltop pets in SA as they seemed to be one of the few people left on Aust to stock them (they are discontinued). Graham Saunders gave them a big rave here.
I now think I should have spent the bucks and grabbed a March The Idra (and other pond pumps for that matter) are not particularly suited for the job of pumping hot liquid around and I am not looking forward to the prospect of my pump letting me down on my single tier brewery setup. I will be buying a March 809 soon and will relegate the Idra to circulate iced water through my CFC.
Thats my two bob's worth anyway

I just got mine though SpecialK at Process Pumps and from memory it was aprox $210 delivered from Melbourne to my door in Ipswich QLD. SpecialK was very helpful and I recommend him.

I also bought one from SpecialK at Process Pumps and he was really good to deal with. I will need another one soon to complete my brewery and I'll be going back there to get it...

I also bought March809 from SpecialK and recommend him. If you go through the chick in US (if shes still running them...) I've read people are waiting months for surface delivery. I waited overnight and payed $223.30 for the pump, stainless mount and plug (they come without the electrical plug on them) plus delivery to my door.
I also explored pond pump use, but now use it for moving iced water through my cfc...well I tried it, then I had to upgrade it to do a decent job though
