I had a go filling a stubbie out of my celi tap last night,A 8mm beer line fits nice and snug in the tap know worrys, I turned it down as far as I could without being froth but as soon as I got to the neck of the bottle that was it,I didnt depressure my keg as the tap has flow adjuster on it and the bottle was cold,I will try tipping the bottle on its side next go.
Is any one doing this with results I thought ROSS said he does it time to time so if anyone wants to share that would be great.

I used to do the same but found problems with foaming and lack of carbonation as well, I then went on to using a rigged carbonation cap that worked but was fiddly.
Here's my final solution, a cheap and easy to build CPBF that works well

If you didn't do it already freezing the bottle first helps a lot.

I've done this a couple of times now with good results, take the pressure right down and fill slowly into a bottle that is cold with a bit of cold sanitiser in it.
Just filled a 2L growler of Biere Brun to take over to a mate's place for dinner.
