Halve the victory.

Not experienced enough with citra to answer the other bit.

Okay victory halved beersmith puts it at 10.2ebc.
Cheers
Edit bumped up maris otter to 4.75 kgs for 4.8% abv

For simplicity, Id probably ditch the cascade and just go the centennial, Centennial and Cascade are too similar in my opinion to use together like this,

what you drop on the Cascade add to the calculated IBU for the centennial and go from there,

Citra will not overpower centennial, they bring different things to the table and go together very nicely.

All that said, you can easily leave as is, what you wont get though is an idea of who is doing what.

Hi Dave81,

Like mentioned above to halve the victory to 5%, it will be noticable.

With the hops, like Yob mentioned, drop the cascade (centennial is a better version of cascade, mind you cascade is great still) and run with the cent/citra combo it will play together well. Me personally Id just dry hop with either centennial or citra alone and throw 3g/L for 7days at 20c into the FV after ferment for a solid return ( but thats my preference )

I think that the ABV is a little low for the IBU, Id drop the volume from 25L down to 23 or 22L using the same malt quantity and get a higher abv to balance the 40ibu, maybe look to be at around 5.2-5.4%

Are you doing anything with the water? if you can get some Calcium Sulphate AKA; Gypsum, 10g in the mash and 5g in the boil will bring those hops through.

Is the abv low compared to the ibus becuase there is not enough malt to balance the bitterness? I can just add more maris otter if thats the case.
Only thing I have been doing g with water is adding 5.2ph.i have yet to delve I to learning about water aswell as everything else ;)

You know come to think of it ( re read the recipe ) the low bittering charge of 14ibu and all those late kettle additions will be okay!

Its personal preference thing that you can decide on after making the beer, it may be very tasty but if it doesn't seem balanced then up the abv for the next one and see how that compares.

As for the water, its complex at first but can become run of the mill brewing practice once you get your head around it.

Cheers for the help everyone.now to get a free moment to brew this up
