Capping Old Twist Top Bottles

I went to the St Kilda social club at Moorabbin footy ground, and asked the bar staff if I could go through their bins. Got hundreds of empties from there.

Found some large Spring Valley bottles too that I use for starters.

When I used to bottle and was trying to build up my empty collection my wife used to bring bottles home for me on a Friday night after the teachers had their Fri. night therapeutical.

One thing to look out for when rummaging for empties. Smokers have a habit of sticking their ciggy butts in them.

Maybe they did it to improve the flavour of the VB? :lol:

Make sure you give all your new empties a good soaking in some napisan and hot water. Be mindful that most empty beer bottles have been attacked via the lips and not the glass.
