Pretty ordinary weather here, a few flurries, so we did this today.

SWMBO did the masking and I applied the etching agent.

Turned out pretty well, except they are in yank units.

Seeing that makes me want to go out and buy some carboys. :blink:
 
Interesting idea!

Something I have always wondered about those style of carboys.....

The ribs on the outside of the vessles....do they have corresponding indentations on the inside of the carboy or is it smooth walled on the inside? I have always thought they would be a pain in the anus hole to clean if there were indents on the inside for gunk to collect.
 
They are smooth on the inside.

We have big bottle brush for cleaning.

But I'm in the process of building a less ghetto version of one of these:
