Buy Stir Plate From Australia?

I am trying to purchase a stir plate locally , i know they are easy to make however i just don't want to on this project. Any ideas who is selling one ($50.00- $80.00) in Aus ?

There was a member of this forum making them for a few weeks or so, but I think he stopped for some reason.

You could try ebay for 2nd hand stirplates, but AFAIK (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) no company is selling stirplates in that price range in this country. Best bet for a cheap stirplate then is to get one shipped from the US.

I have been looking for a while, but couldnt find one under 180-200 bucks, which is quite outrageous for what it is.

I ended up building a nice little unit for around $50.

Between Jaycar and the magnet shop, they had me covered.

I did have to teach myself how to solder, and it was surprisingly easy.
