Brisbane Beer And Breweries

Hi all,
I would like local's or previous travellers to the Brisbane-Noosa area's advice on good beer stops to make in the area. Is there anywhere you can buy Red Oak(Sydney) beers to take-away in Brisbane?
Am also heading down to Byron Bay area for a week or so so if there is anything in that area, comments welcomed.

no idea if you'll be in the area but last time i was in Qld i went to a pretty awsome belgian beer cafe in surfers paradise called the pink poodle, some very nice beers there, i still dream of the next time i'll drink chimay, alas that will probably not be untill my birthday...or i start all graining
