Brewing Salts

Hey hey everyone

Hope all is going well for the new year for everyone

Just a quick question, how much of the salts do people normally use for the wollongong water?

Im assuming that some of you may have already had the tap water tested and know how much of each to put into the HLT water?

If not, that is a-okay :icon_chickcheers:

I use a couple of teaspoons of Calcium sulphate for 70L of brewing water and put about the same amount of Calcium Chloride in with the mash and a pinch of epsom salts in the boil. I would put more Calcium sulphate in the water if I were doing something IPA ish.
But I am sure everyone has there own idea's and there are variations

I probably put in about a heaped table spoon of gypsum in light beers ie no roasted malts

Nothing in dark beers

Wollongong water is just about a blank canvas - very soft
