Isnt it the 2005 catalogue, while they advertise the 2006 on the site..?

I note the new B3-1200 system added to the range (the single tier 10 gallon equivalent of the 20 gallon 2100 system). No pictures of the 10 gallon version but IMO this is the best system they have designed-if your paying $2300US for it anyway . I would imagine that this system would soon outsell the 1550, simply for it's easy of use.

I wondered how long it would take them to offer a mash tun on a 10 gallon system on a level with easy access where no ladders are involved. A nice offering.

I've browsed over that catalogue many times Dreamboat, it'll soon look like a tatty old well used mag. Like the ones you had when you were 13

I was reading a US forum where a guy was going to buy the SABCO Brew Magic. The guys on the forum all urged him to check out B3 and see if they would build a 10 gallon single tier. Consensus was this would be the best turn key system. One level with easy access to all vessels and of a batch size that would suit most HBers.

Looks like B3 has been reading your mind.

2005 is in the name of the file. I tried 2006 and 2004 unsuccessfully, so I'm guessing it is the latest.

If it was Brews and Views (HBD) I think you might find in that Sabco thread someone under the name of "JD" who suggested the single tier option and of asking B3 to custom make-what has now been revealed as the B3-1200. That'd be me . Can't believe B3 stole my idea-ha ha.

I had a fairly strong opinion of the fact that a guy should not spend $4500US on a system that he then has to climb up and balance on ladders to use. I have no real issues with getting up on things to mash in if you are limited for money, materials, need for gravity feed, space etc, but if your going to buy an all out bells and whistles system and throwing the $$ at the system then I would want a very ergonomic, easy to use system for my money-climbing ladders, balancing and lifting buckets of malt above chest/head height doesn't fit that bill for me. He wanted an easy to use automated system anyway, but I still couldn't figure out exactly what he wanted out of it. I think he seemed to think those systems would be the answer for his lack of time to brew? No system can give you that IMO.

My opinion on those Sabco's and B3-1550 systems (now that I've been around a few home breweries and built my preferred system and seen a live B3-1550 at morebeer) is if they are going to run with mash tuns over your head then they really should incorporate someway to safely and easily get up to them to mash in and stir. The step-up option on the B3 doesn't quite cut it for me, it still seems poorly placed, undersized and a band-aid solution. If you used these in a work place there would be a law suit looming. A proper set of steps and walkway alongside the system would do it for me.

Not saying other tiered systems don't work etc. I was just saying for the money I don't think those systems are as good as their price suggests.

No shortage of opinions here. Take what you like from them.
