BrewDog's own recipe for this in the DIY pdf is, as far as grain goes for a 20L batch:
-Organic Lager 1.13kg/2.5lbs
-Organic Caramalt 0.28kg/0.6lbs
-Organic Munich 2.70kg/6.0lbs
-Organic Chocolate 0.23kg/0.5lbs
I've seen pictures of the commercial beer in the glass and it is very black. The recipe says it is 120EBC. The recipe in Beer Smith is only 40EBC, and my actual brew is rather brown.
I suspect the original must have Carafa. Do you reckon maybe .18kg/6oz Carafa III? That would at least take it to 60EBC and the top of the Schwarzbier colour style.
