Bottles not holding pressure

Hey peeps,

i have had troubles with my beer that i rack into glass bottles not ending up very carbonated. i use recycles 330ml brown glass beer bottles with the heavy duty gold bottle tops and a bench capper. also from the same batch i often use a couple of plastic pet bottles so i can monitor carbonation levels and these always turn out fantastic. could it be that the glass bottles aren't clean enough? or mabye i should use different bottles or caps?

Hey Tom. Do you prime by the bottle or bulk prime prior to filling the bottles? What do you use to prime with?

In my experience it would be unlikely that the caps were leaking unless you had a faulty batch or something wrong with your capper.
