Hi all,

I am looking to buy a bottle capper in readiness for my second brew. Any thoughts on which one I should get and where to get it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Terry

Get a bench capper from Big W - Brigalow make them - @$50

If that breaks the budget ebay or gumtree usually turn up a few.

Wing cappers and hand cappers are a PIA IMHO

Iv got a Knock on Hand capper, it just come with my fermenter kit from GG,

Now i like it BUT! the only reason i think i like it is the fact i use a Nylothane Plastic Sheety's mallet to put them on with, its well weighted and is perfrct for the job, however its worth about $60, just so happens that iv got it in my work tool kit i'd be scared to use a normal hammer with it.

However when i decide if im going to keg or not..... i will either get rid of bottles or buy a good bench capper like this one

Bottled about 20 btaches with a hand capper, hammer and a brick, never had a breakage but the bench capper is the schizzle.
Worth every cent.

Got a spare bench capper, if you're local to Newcastle. It's quite bulky so postage is a killer.
