Just wanted some peoples advise on a good book to learn more about water chemistry for brewing.
My knowledge on the subject is very low and i want to get a better understanding of it more so i can improve
my beers. I have been using a water calculator but i want to know why these additions help and what it is they do exactly to help with the beer.
Any suggestions for a good book/s would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Listen to Brew Strong's four-part series on brewing water from April and May 2009. Palmer's goal with that was to give you everything you need to know to begin working on the basics. They're free, and it's a great series, simply explained.

Then get the Water book GalBrew mentioned and you can get up in the guts of water.

Brun water knowledge is good free version as well

Ok thanks . Will have a look at that brew strong series and will try get a hold of a copy of the water book.
I have downloaded bru'nwater but i need to get office to run it.

Thanks again.
