Well sorry to go off topic but I pressure cook wort in old pasta sauce bottles with the "safety" pop up seal. When my first step of a starter is done, I just keep boosting it with sterile, tomato flavoured wort sitting at exactly the right temperature. I generally don't make more than I need for my current starters though.
