Our hot water system is buggered so everyone wanted to have baths, so I had the idea of using my boiler to heat up enough water for the bath.

My whole family are now actually glad I have all this stuff... lol

Ahh brew gear, so versitile.

Has anyone else used thir beer related gear to fix a household problem?

Craftbrew to the rescue !!!

I once used mine to make beer :p

Surely this means many brownie points for future brew days / pickups from drinking sessions. And don't forget to check to see if your hot water system is stainless, coz I'm sure you'd want to be able to do 100L batches ;)

I came back from a Christmas break to find that my gas burner & bottle were missing from the shop. It seems a mate who had a key needed it to make Paella! The mash tun has been used as an esky on occasions, but then I have also stacked the washing machine full of stubbies(pre kegging days) and poured ice in. Came home from golf to fire up the BBQ & get things started, plenty of cold stubbies in the Whirpool. Next day I hit the spin cycle & all the water was gone.
Cheers
Gerard
