After posting a half-drunken, shit-stir topic in the Off Topic forum the other night which seems to have now been deleted (I didn't think it seemed that offensive and was only joking around), I thought I'd make up for it by posting an arse-kissing topic.

Since finding this site (thanks to joecast for pointing me in the right direction) I've been finding some excellent and informative stuff whenever I sift through my search results, and my inquisitive n00b threads have all been met with useful and friendly replies.

So the bottom line: awesome site/forum you folks have going here!

heheh... don't worry, phantom. I don't think you missed too much. It was just about how a lot of the topics in the Off Topic forum still seemed to be about beer, even though I would've thought that 'off topic' woulda meant 'not about beer' on a beer forum.

Apart from some pedantry about grammar and spelling on the above quote, I agree with it & wasn't happy to be an amateur again.

Then again, I thought that I'm not a pro, and I am a proud amateur.

However, I respectfully request an upgrade to beer snob, beer wanker, or beer tosser. I would settle for pedantic tw@t.
