Hi Guys,

I've just started brewing, on my third batch at the moment and have already got 60 full 750ml PET bottles but i was wondering if anyone had got any recommendations on a good bar fridge, i've been looking at some online but they all seem as is i wont be able to fit many bottles standing up in them, do the bottles ideally have to stay upright due to the yeast and sediment in the bottom?

Hey, only benefit in my mind is compacting the yeast cake long term

you can get away with lying the bottles on their side if you switch them upright (say) a week before drinking. I do this myself sometimes. Bottles upright in the door are the next to reach my stomach. Everytime i drink one i upright another in it's place.

But unless you have friends over smashing those brews you could probably just get away with having enough standing up

the best bar fridge is one that doesnt cost much.

look for a cheapy you can get your fermenter in for temp control and and a bunch of bottles and yeast/hops etc.

you only need enough bottles in the fridge to get you through a week at a go.
