Hi all I've been using beersmith on my iPhone since it was released and I find it very handy, but for some reason it has frozen tonight and I can't view any of my recipes etc infanct i can't do anything. I've turned my phone off a few times but nothing changes. Has anyone else encountered this? Ifso how did you fix it?

Thanks

Matt

Are you using an iPhone? If so, you can try double tapping the home button and it will bring up a bar of running apps. You can press and hold them to shut down / restart the app. Might work?

I had a heap of issues with BS on my andriod over the last 2 weeks, lots of javascript errors made it unusable, there was an upgrade released yesterday that I have installed and all the problems seem to have disappeared, maybe a new iphone version is out?

JavaScript? Jebus.

[EDIT: Does the app work when offline at all?]

It does now, but it was useless a few days ago. Not sure what changed, it worked fine when I first installed it. Looking at the Beersmith forum & the comments in the app store there were a lot of people with the same issue.

I bought and installed it yesterday morning. Had more than a few javascript errors, when loading a recipe from my cloud folder. Surely there is a better way to sync with the recipe DB on the PC?

Mostly useful for the timer...

Hi all thanks for the reply I've downloaded the upgrade and now I get JavaScript errors. I've shut all my open apps down also this hasn't helped it's very frustrating

Hi Bum from my use on the mobile the app did seem to work offline

Thanks, Matty. Was just wondering if it was just a web app. I guess not.

Spoke too soon, mine is still throwing out javascript errors, this time while offline and woking on a locally stored recipe. Frustrating stuff.

I ended up losing a cloud recipe due to those JS errors. It kept throwing them, then I tried on the desktop and the recipe was gone and there was a new 'untitled recipe' with nothing in it.

Nowadays I just copy my recipes into the cloud...
