Hi Everyone

As some of you all ready know - Canberra is hosting the nationals this year.
Hear are the rules with the web site link.
2003 Australian Amateur Brewing Championship

Rules and Information

 To qualify for the Championship the entrant must have been placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd (and scoring at least 60% of maximum points) in a beer Category at an endorsed championship during the preceding year.

 Each entry must nominate a beer style from the Category in which they have qualified. The nominated style must be listed in the AABA style list, available on the website. Organisers reserve the right to reclassify non-conforming entries to a listed style and Category.

 No more than two (2) entries are allowed for each entrant in any one Category. Each entry must be a single bottle of at least 600 mL in volume, or two 375 mL bottles. Markings on the bottle are not a concern as the judges will not see the bottle.

 A completed legibly printed entry form must accompany each entry. The form should be secured to the bottle with a rubber band or easily removable tape.

 Entries in the Low Alcohol Category (Category 1, less than 3.5% alcohol by volume) must include Original and Final Gravity readings. Category 1 entries without this information will not be judged.

 First, second and third place will be awarded in each Category. A Brewer of the Show award will be made based on placings received. Each brewer will score 3 points for 1st, 2 points for 2nd, and 1 point for 3rd.

 A Best of Show award will be made for both extract-based and all-grain entries.

 The judges decisions are final.

 Judging will take place on or before Saturday 8 November 2003. Award Presentations will be made at a dinner at the Canberra Club on the evening on Saturday 8 November 2003. Results will be posted on the AABA web site during the following week. Trophies not collected at the presentation dinner will be posted to recipients by 22 November 2003.

 All entries and payment must be received by the Canberra Brewers Club by 5 pm on Friday, 30 October, 2003. Cheques should be made payable to the Australian Amateur Brewers Association.
