Has anybody else had problems accessing Basic Brewing Radio the last week or so?

I have an RSS feed set up for his podcasts, and have been getting errors for about the last week. I'm not able to access the website either.

I find it a good listen on the train on the way home, and it's a lot less potty mouth than Jamil's shows ;)

:icon_offtopic: The host, James Spencer, looks nothing like I imagined he would. Somehow, I expected somebody older, and greyer.

The last one I have been able to download is from the 19/3/09.... It downloaded today through iTunes.....

I agree with these two statements too! :icon_cheers:

A great show, and very well presented.

Its working for me. I do enjoy BBR, tends to be a lot more experimental than the brewing network too.

cheers

James' ISP shut down international traffic for a while due to bad internet dude attacks - I think he is supposed to be all good by now though. He has a facebook and twitter accounts, check them out for updates so you know what to expect.

S'alright, I can access it from home. Work must have noticed the hundreds of megs of mp3 downloads from basicbrewing.com, and figured out it's probably not work related

I just hope they're not monitoring for excesive time spent on online forums, otherwise it's bye-bye AHB, and my working day will come to seem interminable!!!

i can't access it from both my home pc's but at work i can, even ipod rss feed dosn't work from home any idea's

I have been unable to access it from home but work has been fine.
Just checked then (at home) and it is now working. no idea what has been happening

Ah hah! Thought it was just me.

Last show I was able to download through itunes was March 6. Can't access the website at home or work...but got right through at the internet cafe outside McDonalds yesterday (and rewarded myself with a sausage and egg mcmuf).

I miss James!. :(

Jamil is potty mouthed?

I think he must have gotten a firm "talking too" by SWMBO after the final of the Jamil Show. Things have definitely turned cleaner since.

I have had no problems accessing the site from home, or elsewhere, only problem is at work.

Cheers,

Brett

I still can't access the podcast nor website and I've just shot an e-mail to James.

Your e-mail might not work either - I have had real trouble communicating with James recently. Server issues.

You can get him via his facebook or twitter pages - then if you need to talk to him he has a gmail which is working... but I don't want to just post that in case its not his "public" e-mail. So if your normal e-mail doesn't get through try the facebook thing.

I know his server was blocking some overseas servers due to attacks - so I am guessing that the reason why some people can see the website etc (for instance I can see and download from it) and some cant, is that his ISP is selectively blocking IP addresses from certain servers/ISPs/locations or whatever it is they do.

Perhaps the Federal Government Porn Filter thinks you shouldn't be looking at this stuff...

NRB,

I have the same problem - haven't been able to download an episode since middle of February. Did James answer your e-mail?

Sorry for the delay Snow, I don't read the board as much as I used to... James responded to my e-mail and we sorted it out. Hopefully everyone else is no-longer having problems.
