Planning on doing a megaswill clone with a 500g-1kg partial mash. Many recipes use Pilsener malt (e.g. JWM Export) as their base but I have also seen BB Ale Malt on some posts. Any ideas appreciated?

This is the recipe I currently have:

500g Pilsener malt
200g Carapils
20g dark crystal
1.8kg extra LDME
200g table sugar
25g POR, 60min
5g POR, 0min
WY2042 Danish Lager at 10degC (3.5L starter)

Id lose the flameout POR addition. The rest of it looks ok after a quick scan. What volume you brewin?

Any local ale or pilsner malt will be fine. I doubt you would notice any difference considering you will be adding a large % of LDME. I'd also drop the carapils and replace it with some base malt. I don't see any point in this style considering you want to dry and thin it out as much as possible. And like Nath said you won't gain anything good from such a tiny addition of POR at flame out.
