    Hi All,
Just a heads up it appears both this forum and craftbrewer.com.au were hacked and all login details (usernames/passwords) have been sold online to scammers.
A known spam/scam is where you are emailed a login and password which has been gained from a hack. It is used as an attempt to trick users into thinking their personal computer has been compromised and hand over bitcoin. People are often duped because they use the same password everywhere and are scared when they see it in an email.

I use different passwords on every site and the two different emails contain my two passwords from here and craftbrewer.com.au

I suggest users check their spam boxes to see if they have something similar. The email often says "security warning" or "your account was hacked" or "your secret life"

This forum post has some more info http://community.malwarefixes.com/m...FjALegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw0tau1gvBv1I2AOp2tXHIQL

Or Google your secret life email.

You can also check if your details have been leaked by going to haveibeenpwned.com

This hack could have happened years ago also and the details are just now being released and sold online.

    Cheers

Well, if it happened years ago - good luck trying my password.

But yep although I use one of a few passwords at sites I don't care about, anything important has it's own long password.
I usually change those passwords every few months.

edit: Oh! btw, If you see a message like the OP's with a link.
NEVER click the link then change your passwords.
The link could load a keylogger to grab your new account details.

Not suggesting that's what's happening here - but it's a way some data scammers get your info.
