hey guys just getting back into it all and just put on a stockmans draught with 1.5 of light malt extract boiled with 15g each of armarillo and casscade hops with us05 yeast and its smelling delicous . but now im thinking what to do next love the aussie pale ale kit so was thinking that and mabey brew enhancer two with some glaxy hops but ive never tried them im open to sugestions got a few weeks to think about it all cheers.

Hi El barto.

A really good kit for Aussie Pale is the Coopers one. Brew Enhancer 2 would be the go for a kit and some Galaxy wouldn't go amiss either.

If you want to go more towards the pub versions of Coopers, what you can do is reculture some yeast from the bottom of Coopers bottles. It's not hard provided you keep everything sterile and can wait about 3 or 4 days for the yeast to breed up. You'll need about 3 longnecks / tallies.

Here's a good link off this forum.

yeah the coopers one is great ill defently be using that and brew enchancer 2, how much glaxy would you recommend 15-30 g ? i dont want to over do it but do like a mildly hoppy beer .. ill have to give that a go with the yeast never even tried it just stick to the us 05 or the nottinham yeast usally

Probably 20g would be fine, just tip hop pellets into fermenter on about day 4.

Thanks mate I've been boiling the malt lately and chucking the hops in with that for like 15 mins don't know how much difference it'll make for the flavour haha

When would you put hops in the fermenter during fermentation vs. steep them and pour in the liquid?
