does any one have a recipe thats a good apple cider? cause a friend wants to try one but doesnt want to do one of the kits?

For a really simple cider, just use bottled apple juice (must be preservative free), maybe some brown sugar, or honey, and most of the time an ale yeast is ok to use, if you dont want the expense of a cider liquid yeast. Keep in mind that you may need to add some yeast nutrient if you do this.

If you want to be a bit more hardcore, try pr1me's black death scrumpy, its found in the recipie section. I made a version, called sewer cider, it came out way too dry (I used champagne yeast), and about 12% alcohol.

I think I'm almost due to do another one myself.

cool thanks mate i thought that was all there was to it but wasnt sure
