Hi gang,

I am looking at brewing a Nut Brown and have never tried one so I'm not sure on what I am looking for in the style. This recipe I found on the google machine but wasn't on this forum and wasn't metric.
But I liked the malts and hops so I thought I would put it forward to you guys to critique it.


Nut Brown Ale

Original Gravity (OG): 1.047 (P): 11.7
Final Gravity (FG): 1.012 (P): 3.1
Alcohol (ABV): 4.62 %
Colour (SRM): 19.8 (EBC): 39.0
Bitterness (IBU): 25.2 (Average - No Chill Adjusted)

80.81% Maris Otter Malt
5.05% Brown Malt
5.05% Crystal 60
3.03% Chocolate
3.03% Crystal 120
3.03% Flaked Oats

0.7 g/L East Kent Golding (4.7% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (First Wort)
0.7 g/L Fuggles (5.7% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (First Wort)
1.2 g/L East Kent Golding (4.7% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil)


Single step Infusion at 69C for 60 Minutes. Boil for 60 Minutes

Fermented at 20C with Safale S-04

looks fine, not too sure if your mashing temp is a bit high ?
 
It was mashed at 156 for 60 which I thought must of been for a more maltier backbone... Or I'm completely wrong and it will just be sweeter.. Or thats wrong also
